Ghadar Movement

The Ghadar Party was founded by Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna in 1913 in the United States and Canada to overthrow British rule in India. The factual meaning of “Ghadar” is “revolution” and the headquarters of the Ghadar party is Yugantar Ashram in San Francisco, USA. The main aim of ghadar party leader is free indian from British rule and establish an independent nation.

The Ghadar Party published a weekly newspaper called Ghadar through this spreading anti-colonial sentiments and promoting equality and secularism. The first edition of this newspaper is written in Urdu.In the begining the ghadar party was given a named the Pacific Coast Hindustan Association. Later it was renamed and give the name Ghadar Party in 1914.

The Ghadar Newspaper was launched in 1913 by the Hindustan Ghadar Party. It’s main aim is to spread its message of revolution to Indian immigrants around the world.
